Sam completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota in 2019. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a B.A. in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Coaching with a track and field emphasis, as he also competed as a thrower on the team. Following graduation, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has been a member of the ActivePT team since 2020.
Sam completed an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency at Mayo Clinic. He then completed a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). He currently teaches Dry Needling Continuing Education Courses through AAMT.
Sam combines hands-on treatment along with a variety of activities and exercises to assist his patients in meeting their goals. His areas of interest include persistent pain, back pain, martial arts athletes, tactical athletes, and powerlifting athletes. Sam lives in Oronoco with his wife and dog. He enjoys activities such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, weight training, hiking, and a variety of other sports.
