Mary graduated from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, College of Medicine with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019. Prior to entering graduate school, she was an artist and community volunteer in Austin, MN. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1994. Mary’s love of learning and care for the health of others inspired her to pursue her physical therapy career after she raised her two daughters.
Mary joined the Active PT team in August 2019. She is thrilled to be a part of a profession that will allow her to fulfill her mission to “Empower others to improve their own lives.” Mary takes a hands-on approach to physical therapy treatment to help people reach their goals. She is passionate about helping patients improve their pelvic health. Her areas of clinical specialty include pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence with exercise, pregnancy and postpartum care, and conservative management of diastasis rectus abdominis and prolapse.
Mary is an orthopedic clinical specialist, is certified in dry needling and has advanced training as a Pelvic Floor Level 2 therapist. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Academies of Orthopaedic and Pelvic Health physical therapy.
