Doctor of Physical Therapy

Kaylen graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Des Moines University in 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2014 at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She joined the ActivePT team in 2021.

Kaylen’s passion is treating the pelvic floor including pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, pregnancy related pain, postpartum rehab, diastasis recti abdominis and pelvic organ prolapse. She also enjoys working with those with hip and back pain as well as older adults. Kaylen follows a patient-centered approach where the patient’s goals are the most important, whether that is being able to garden without back pain or running 10 miles without leaking. She uses a combination of movement and exercise as well as manual therapy approaches to help her patients reach their goals.

Kaylen is trained in Pelvic Health 1 and Fundamental Topics of Pregnancy and Postpartum through the American Physical Therapy Association. She has specialized training in dry needling for the pelvic floor.

Kaylen was born and raised in Rochester and she enjoys spending time with her family including her husband, son and their dog along with extended family in town. She likes to stay active by going for walks, playing tennis and bike riding matched with a healthy dose of checking out new breweries.
